There have been so many great blog posts and interviews about this event.
I’ll briefly say what a useful and intense event it was for me. Just getting my talking points organized for it was really helpful. Meeting the other artists gave me a perspective that was as useful as the reviewers feedback. I want to thank Review Santa Fe for putting together such a well organized event – they thought of everything.
I’ll share a couple event images and some other images I shot in Santa Fe.
Here’s my table from the massive public event friday night where all 100 artists put out their work at CCA — a giant warehouse-like gallery.
And my piece from the auction event at CCA.
I shot this image in one of the churches downtown. It may make its way into my Motion Studies series. It is an image of candles and if you look close you can see ghostly crosses throughout. In this series I simply move my camera (or my subjects are moving) to reveal as aspect of human experience just outside our senses.
And this one is also from the small downtown area. It may make its way into my Interface series. Does it look like a sorrowful face to you?
Finally, an image of the ruins at Pecos National Historical Park. This will not make it into any of my series but it was stunning to experience some of the layers of local history.
