West Oakland. A preview of “Through Line,” openi West Oakland. A preview of “Through Line,” opening at @bedfordgallery Bedford Gallery in January with @bapcsf - curated by @artalatrinca This work began nearly ten years ago, with photographs made on train journeys. I've been returning to it recently, rethinking how it might exist beyond the photographs themselves. For this exhibition, the panoramic images will be printed directly onto the gallery wall in horizontal strips, gradually taking shape over the course of the show. I've been revisiting earlier projects and finding new ways to bring them into the present. It's been an interesting way to rethink the work and where it might go next. #throughlineari #linearpanorama #trainphotography #bedfordgallery #muralinstallation

A teaser for my upcoming show at Bedford Gallery t A teaser for my upcoming show at Bedford Gallery this January. An iPhone, a moving train, and a panorama mode used wrong. THROUGH LINE is a mural printed onto the gallery wall strip by strip, so it keeps growing through the show. Hills repeat, foregrounds smear, diagonals break apart. It’s what travel looks like when the camera tries to keep up. #throughlineari #linearpanorama #trainphotography #bedfordgallery #muralinstallation
