50|50 @ Sanchez Art Center 2023 “6 Feet Apart”

This is the 15th Annual 50|50
Sept 8 – Oct 1, 2023

This is an annual fundraiser where the gallery invites 50 artists to each create a grid of 50 artworks. Each artwork is 6″ square. My 6 Feet Apart series suits the format nicely. The exhibition fills all three galleries at Sanchez Art Center.

Juror: Marianna Stark is the principal of M Stark Gallery in Half Moon Bay, which features Bay Area artists whose work evokes the spirit of the West Coast and is in dialogue with contemporary fine art movements.

Ticketed fundraising events: Friday, Sept 8 & Saturday, Sept 9

After the Opening Benefit Fundraiser:

  • Galleries Open Fri, Sat, Sun, 1–5pm
  • By appointment during the week

I will be there Friday 9/8 and also on Saturday 9/23 1-3pm for general gallery hours.

Shifting Worlds: A Photography Exchange

移りゆく世界

Shifting Worlds brings together artists from the Bay Area Photographers Collective @bapcsf and Samurai Foto @samurai.foto from Japan in a dialogue about movement and impermanence. Across geographies, these photographers attend to a world in constant transition, where light shifts, environments evolve, and change is the only constant. Curated by @artalatrinca
Two wonderful solo shows @500cappstreet by @andy_ Two wonderful solo shows @500cappstreet by @andy_vogt_studio who saved a discarded door from the house and brought it to life on the deck. And @amyclairet who brings beauty from distressed and discarded objects in a poetic way. Best show of the year.
