ABOUT OPEN SHOW
Open Show San Francisco provides a forum for our local community of visual storytellers to share their projects. Each month photographers, filmmakers and multimedia producers from around the Bay Area gather at different venues for an evening of live presentations and lively conversations. Four presenters have 15 minutes each to introduce one project. Both ongoing and completed work is accepted. We welcome diverse topics ranging from documentary to fine art.

Yoko Ono’s first solo museum exhibition in Souther Yoko Ono’s first solo museum exhibition in Southern California, titled Yoko Ono: Music of the Mind, is on view at The Broad in Los Angeles from May 23 through October 11, 2026. I found it very inspiring - like a gushing spring of thoughtful conceptual art ideas.

“They are not accidents. It is a matter of working “They are not accidents. It is a matter of working inside parameters versus outside of them. The process completes itself and has a say in the artistic vision that the artist intentionally sets out.” I hope I did justice to this quote from my notes from the artist. talk by John Chiara. Inspiring Work and an epic commitment to the process. Great to see some old friends here at the event and great to hear some of the behind the scenes secrets after looking up close at these giant images.
I’m so glad to catch this show before it closed. Y I’m so glad to catch this show before it closed. You have four more days to see this amazing and humorous take on how museums create meaning.
